The South of What Ltd is the “data controller” in respect of your personal information (“us”, or “we”). This privacy notice sets out the basis on which your personal information we collect from you or that you provide to us, will be processed.
How and when we collect personal information about you
We collect and process personal information about you when you attend our show, Oh, Mary! (the “Show”). As part of the performance, we will be filming the performance at the theatre.
What personal information we collect about you and the purpose
As we will be filming within the theatre, we may capture footage of you at the theatre and collect data regarding your attendance at the Show. We process this personal information for the purpose of promoting and capturing the live version of the Show.
If you do not wish to feature, please speak to a member of the Front of House team before entering the theatre.
If you contact us with a complaint or query, we may also keep a record of your name and contact details (e.g. phone number or email address) as well as related correspondence. We process this personal information for the purpose of resolving any complaints or queries.
Legal basis for processing your personal information
We process this personal information on the basis of our legitimate business interests, as it is necessary to collect this personal information in order for us to promote and distribute a live version of the Show which does not unduly affect your privacy and other rights.
How we keep your personal information
We take steps to ensure that the personal information that you provide is retained for only as long as it is necessary for the purpose for which it was collected. The personal information that we collect will never be transferred to, and stored at, a destination outside the UK without appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses which you have a right to obtain a copy of.
Disclosing your information
We may share footage publicly as we promote and distribute the live footage of the Show. We may also share your personal information with our service providers, where they are helping us to deliver the Show and to other third parties to protect the rights, property or safety of us or others.

In certain circumstances, you have certain rights in relation to your personal information. These include: the right to object to the processing of your information for certain purposes, the right to access your personal information, and the ability to erase, restrict or receive a machine-readable copy of your personal information. We will handle any request to exercise your rights in accordance with applicable law and any relevant legal exemptions. You may also have the right to complain to us where we will acknowledge your complaint within 30 days, make enquiries into the complaint without undue delay and make an appropriate level of enquiries. If you remain dissatisfied, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office if you think we have processed your personal information in a manner which is unlawful or breaches your rights. If you have such concerns we request that you initially contact us so that we can investigate, and hopefully resolve, your concerns.
