About the play
Oh, Mary! is an uproariously dark comedy about a miserable, suffocated Mary Todd Lincoln in the weeks leading up to Abraham Lincoln’s assassination. Unrequited yearning, alcoholism, and suppressed desires abound in this 80-minute one-act play that finally examines the forgotten life and dreams of Mrs. Lincoln, through the lens of an idiot (playwright Cole Escola).
Following its critically acclaimed success and Olivier Award win for Best Entertainment or Comedy Play, Oh, Mary! has now extended through to 5 June 2027. See Lolly Adefope taking on the role of Mary from 28 September – 5 December 2026. After their success on Broadway Jane Krakowski will be putting on the wig once more to play Mary at London’s Trafalgar Theatre for a limited 6 week run from 7 December – 16 January.
